Hilary Green
Hilary has been studying and working in wine since 2003 in both Toronto and London. Her expertise has been honed across multiple niches within the fine wine trade including sales, buying, journalism, events, travel, and viticulture/winemaking. She holds the WSET Diploma and has studied with the Institute of Masters of Wine through which she was awarded the AXA Millesimes Scholarship in 2013. Through her experience, Hilary has a broad appreciation of wine styles and the wine industry, with close relationships across global wine circles.
What CWC Offers You
Curated Wine Collections was developed to help wine collectors and enthusiasts navigate the vast network of wine merchants and brokers, ensuring they receive the best possible access and prices to the wines they want without restriction.
As CWC has grown, further services have become cornerstones of the business. A major part of what CWC offers today is full or partial maintenance and administration of wine storage accounts, which can be highly time consuming and daunting. This includes keeping track of purchases and sales as well as the physical transfers related to each, annual reconciliation with storage statements, as well as portfolio analysis.
Events and tastings have also become central to the experience of the CWC collectors lifestyle. Events are announced throughout the year and are inspired by the needs and interests of it’s clients.
Our Rates
It’s our mission to keep wine collecting simple, and that’s reflected in our rates.
As a client of Curated Wine Collections there is a 5% fee on the purchase of any wine sourced for you either direct from producers or from brokers, which firmly keeps our pricing within the market spread.
If and when you wish to sell your wine you will be charged 5% on the sale value, compared to the 10%-15% fee which a traditional merchant would charge for the same service.
Each collector is sent a statement and invoice on a monthly basis in addition to quarterly reviews.
Ad-hoc administrative work such as reconciliation or portfolio analysis is charged at an hourly rate of £150.
